1). Understand that it will be some of the hardest work you ever do.
2). Finish what you start.
3). Seriously, finish. That may be the hardest thing. It's easy to walk away, promise to pick it up again later and then never do it.
4). Write every day.
5). Know when to stop writing every day.
6). Your first draft is going to suck. Accept this.
7). You may never be satisfied with your effort. That's what revision is for but know when to be done.
8). If you plan on making money from the book, PLAN AHEAD.
9). Your idea is a good one.
10). Ideas are a dime a dozen. Success is in the execution.
